Greek Centre Hosts Open Seminar: Cotton Production in Ottoman Egypt and the Role of Greek Entrepreneurs

Cotton as a commodity was the force behind the Industrial Revolution, and now you can learn more about the role that Greek’s played in this crucial part of our history at the open seminar Cotton Production in Ottoman Egypt and the Role of Greek Entrepreneurs at the Greek Centre Melbourne.

The seminar takes a look at the life and role of Muhammad Ali, the Kavala-born Ottoman ruler of Egypt during the first half of the 19th century.

Cotton Production in Ottoman Egypt and the Role of Greek Entrepreneurs is free to attend and will take place on September 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Greek Centre.

The lecture will be presented by Dr. Nick Dallas the national sales manager for Professional and Vocational Education for the global learning science company McGraw-Hill Australia.
